Workshop with Mikko Seppinen 24th-26th of January 2020
We proudly welcome you to 3 full days of opportunity to connect and recharge!
DAY1
FRIDAY
DATE: 24th January 2020
Time: 17:00-19:00
Session: Guided restorative practice
Description: On Friday we will practice a “ restorative guided practice”. You can expect a meditative and silent evening, to start the weekend. A light, yet deep asana practice in combination with other meditative techniques.
DAY 2
SATURDAY MORNING
DATE: 25th January 2020
Time: 09:00-11:30
Session: Pranayama + Mysore
Description: These morning sessions help us to better understand our breath and provide tools to move towards the fourth limb of yoga: pranayama, which in turn leads towards meditation. Mikko will teach us a basic pranayama routine, that can open the door to new possibilities within the yoga practice. The teaching is based on Mikko’s long-term studies in Kaivalyadhama tradition, providing a rare opportunity to access deeper dimensions of yoga. After pranayama the morning continues as a Mysore class, with a plenty of individual guidance.
SATURDAY AFTERNOON
Date: 25th January 2020
Time: 12:30-14:30 hrs.
Session: Yoga as therapy
Description: Yoga is designed to heal — physically, emotionally and spiritually — by restoring our natural capacity for self-healing. However, the practice too often becomes painful, pressure-filled, rushed, injury-causing and competitive physical exercise. In this workshop we will explore 1) the ways of alleviating and preventing most common types of pain, and 2) investigating ways of creating a sustainable, healthy, safe and gentle – yet effective – yoga practice. Suitable for everyone interested about feeling better and healthier!
DAY 3
SUNDAY MORNING
DATE: 26th January 2020
Time: 09:00-11:30
Session: Pranayama + Mysore
Description: These morning sessions help us to better understand our breath and provide tools to move towards the fourth limb of yoga: pranayama, which in turn leads towards meditation. Mikko will teach us a basic pranayama routine, that can open the door to new possibilities within the yoga practice. The teaching is based on Mikko’s long-term studies in Kaivalyadhama tradition, providing a rare opportunity to access deeper dimensions of yoga. SUNDAY AFTERNOON
Date: 26th January 2020
Time: 12:30-14:30 hrs.
Session: Strength and Grace Description: The New Year is empowering and an ideal time to focus on building strength. But, if you work too hard and often find yourself trembling, huffing and puffing with frustration, your hearty resolve will quickly fizzle – and this session might be for you! In this workshop we will recall what Patanjali wrote in Yoga Sutra 2.46: sthira sukham asanam, or “the postures should have both steadiness and ease.” We’ll work on techniques to build up physical strength, and as a result a healthier body and safer asana practice. Additionally, by letting go of focusing only on external, we’ll find the truth of the strength, which in yoga is always present moment awareness.
We offer Early Bird Price all November: 1,440.00kr.
As a supportive initiative to invest today in our self- practice & study time and health before the Christmas rush and the New Years expenses arrive!
